Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Greg Tackett
Dr. Greg Tackett graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and has been with Eastland Companion Animal Hospital since 1996.
Dr. Tackett and his wife, Kim, enjoy volunteering with local rescue organizations in the Bloomington-Normal area. They share their home with two dogs, Charlie and Stella, and are proud parents of two adult daughters, who now have rescue pets of their own.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tackett enjoys bicycling, traveling with Kim, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
Dr. Max Huschen
Dr. Max Huschen earned his undergraduate degree from Millikin University and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He has been with Eastland Companion Animal Hospital since 2015.
Dr. Huschen and his wife, Alyssa, both grew up in Central Illinois and are proud to be raising their two daughters in the community that has given so much to their family.
Their household also includes two dogs, Benny the doodle and Lemon the Golden Retriever, as well as two cats, Gilligan and Noodle. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Huschen enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, playing soccer and golf, and cheering on the Fighting Illini and the Chicago Bears.
Dr. Charles S. McCully
Dr. Charles McCully graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Chemistry, from Illinois State University.
Dr. McCully grew up on a farm in Lacon, Illinois, and is a third-generation veterinarian. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their children, Kyle and Sam.
He also has three Labrador Retrievers named Daisy, Rudy, and Ralph.
Dr. Tera L. Riggins
Dr. Tera Riggins earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University, majoring in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry, and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She has been with Eastland Companion Animal Hospital since 1999.
Originally from Naperville, Illinois, Dr. Riggins most enjoys helping people care for their pets and building relationships with clients and their families.
Outside of the clinic, she is a proud mother of three daughters and grandmother of three. While she currently has two “granddogs,” pitbulls are among her favorite canine breeds. In her free time, Dr. Riggins enjoys cards, puzzle games, and anything involving words, and she is grateful for her church community. She also likes to joke that she is “sports illiterate.”
Dr. Jason Bundy
Dr. Jason Bundy is a proud Central Illinois native, born and raised just south of Clinton Lake in the small town of Lane, Illinois. He studied Zoology and Chemistry at Eastern Illinois University before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Bundy and his wife, Angie, live in Forsyth with their daughter, Beatrix (Bea), their son, Archibald (Archie), and their two dogs, Sarge, a Bull Mastiff, and Francine (Frankie), a Dogue de Bordeaux.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bundy enjoys spending time and traveling with his family, supporting his children in their athletic and academic activities, and keeping up with all kinds of popular culture.
Dr. Sara Fluty
Dr. Sara Fluty earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She joined Eastland Companion Animal Hospital in 2023.
Originally from Mattoon, Illinois, Dr. Fluty enjoys the challenge and variety that veterinary medicine brings each day and is passionate about making a positive impact on her patients and their people. Her professional interests include internal medicine, endocrinology, cytology, and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fluty enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their children, Fiona and Cole. She also has a coonhound named Cher and a herd of Brown Swiss dairy cows that may as well be pets. In her free time, she enjoys helping on the dairy and showing cattle, reading, and interior decorating.
Dr. Kati Lothson
Dr. Kati Lothson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Prior to veterinary school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Illinois State University in 2020.
Originally from DeKalb, Illinois, Dr. Lothson is excited to care for pets and their people in Central Illinois. Her professional interests include preventative care and working with zoological companion animal species.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lothson enjoys live music, gardening, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also has three cats she adopted during college: Kai, Tayla, and Coal.
