Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Greg Tackett
Dr. Greg Tackett graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He has been at Eastland Companion Animal Hospital since 1996.
Dr. Tackett and his wife Kim love to do volunteer work with some of the local rescues in the Bloomington-Normal area and have two dogs, Charlie and Stella. They have two adult daughters that now have rescue pets of their own.
When not spending time with his family, Dr. Tackett enjoys bicycling, traveling with Kim, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
Dr. Max Huschen
Dr. Max Huschen earned his undergraduate degree at Millikin University and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He has been with Eastland Companion Animal Hospital since 2015.
Dr. Huschen and his wife Alyssa both grew up in Central Illinois and enjoy giving back to the community, from coaching children's soccer leagues to helping out the community's pets.
He has two dogs, Benny the Doodle and Lem Lem the Golden, plus two adorable cats. His family loves to spend time outdoors together playing soccer, golfing and fishing.
Dr. Charles S. McCully
Charles McCully is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. McCully received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from Illinois State University.
He grew up on a farm in Lacon, Illinois and is a 3rd generation veterinarian. Dr. McCully enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and children, Kyle and Sam. Dr. McCully has two Labrador Retrievers named Reggie and Rudy.
Dr. Tera L. Riggins
Dr. Tera Riggins graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She earned an undergraduate degree in zoology with a minor in chemistry from Eastern Illinois University.
She has loved many pets and is currently the owner of a Pit-Bull puppy, Tiko. Dr. Riggins is a mother of 3 daughters and enjoys spending her out-of-office time with her family, exercising, and being involved with her church.
Dr. Jason Bundy
Dr. Jason Bundy is a proud native of Central Illinois - born and raised just south of Clinton Lake in the small town of Lane, IL. Dr. Bundy studied Zoology and Chemistry at Eastern Illinois University before enrolling and ultimately graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Bundy and his wife Angie, daughter Beatrix (Bea), and son Archibald (Archie) currently reside in Forsyth, IL with their Bull Mastiff, Sarge, and their Dogue de Bordeaux, Francine (Frankie).
Outside of work, Dr. Bundy enjoys spending time and traveling with his family, supporting the athletic and scholastic endeavors of his children, and consuming mass quantities of any and all forms of popular culture.
Dr. Sara Fluty
Dr. Sara Fluty grew up on a farm outside Mattoon, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2009, as well as her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
Shortly after graduation, she and her husband Steve were married. Currently, Dr. Fluty, Steve, and their daughter, Fiona, reside in rural Bloomington near Steve’s dairy farm. While much of her time outside of work is spent helping on the farm, Dr. Fluty also enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and showing Brown Swiss dairy cattle.
In addition to the cattle, other members of the Fluty family include two dogs and one cat. Minnie and Django are both heeler mixes who were adopted through various rescues, and Apple is a 15 year old tabby cat who Dr. Fluty adopted in college.
